I must admit todays post is really about the shoes- they are totally inspired by a much more expensive version but for the price I couldn't say no to these! I Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend- thank you for stopping by!

I love so many things about this outfit- to start the color of the dress is like nothing else I have in my closet. The dress is simple with just enough feminine details. I love accessories so I added a statement necklace with a few rings. As my blog evolves handbags and shoes are my favorite items to collect- and I typically like them to be statement pieces.

I found this Kate Spade dress on clearance last weekend at TJ Maxx for under $60 dollars! 

I decided to let the print on the dress do all the talking- I went with minimal accessories not to over do it. When fall comes around I can throw on a pair of black tights to make it season less

What a crazy week it has been! I’m happy that its Friday and am looking forward to enjoying some time with friends and family. I have to constantly remind myself to try and live in the moment – and to stop getting caught up in things I cannot control. This is no easy task- I feel like I was born to worry. This weekend I’m going to challenge myself to put the phone down and try and enjoy the moment- and stop trying to control the uncontrollable!

Swing Part 2.

Last week I posted this same black swing dress dressed up- this week I reworked this dress to make  it more relaxed.  I added a classic denim jacket (everyone should one ) a colorful scarf and a dark lip and of course some jewelry! This look is perfect for running errands or a causal work environment. 

My best shopping tip is spend your money on investment pieces -things that are not trendy and will last you a lifetime. For me thats typically accessories. What are some of your splurge items?
